Attention Grabbers

Every once in a while, something comes along that makes me go ???   How’s that done?   or hmmm  interesting, I wonder how I might be able to make that work for me.  When that does occur, then it’s an attention grabber and in these days of faster-than-light travel we need all the help we can get to remember what to pay attention to.  These “Road signs” as it were are things I now pay attention to and will begin to blog.

A Test for all C level Executives…

As the year draws to a close, many of us at the Executive Level are considering budgets and other financial details.  The same is true with my organisation with one notable difference.

As Chief Executive Officer, I have long held that it is my responsibility to make the organisation work well, and one way where I am empowered to do so is people recognition.  Just to get a handle on what is done by the different teams that make up this organisation, I made it a project of mine to put on some of the different hats of the people in this enterprise.  Yes, The CEO swept floors, shovelled mud, carried groceries, typed reports, analysed financials, made memos, wrote memos, sent back memos and edited blogs, answered phones and did customer service.  When our HQ moved earlier this year, this CEO was the one sweeping the floor, tidying up loose ends and carrying the boxes out of the office and into the new one.  I’ve also decided to institute a first for this Organisation.

Yes, you heard me. Starting January 1st to 31st 2010,  I will  be a V.A. for the one person who needs to have the break, our very first VA.    That person gets to be CEO for a week with me as their VA.  No more un-sung heroes in this enterprise… So I challenge other CEO’s to do the same.  Put your people first, they will surprise you with what they can do!

Virtual Assistants:

Hi,

Far too often, these un-sung heroes of the new millennium are just that, un-sung.  I am one and I know quite a few that put in just as much time as any entrepreneur, in fact they do more, because an entrepreneur only worries about their business, whereas any good V.A. worth their salt, so to speak, will go that extra mile and put their heart and soul into your business too.  They are hard to find, so when you do find one, remember, this holiday season, say thanks.

If you have found a good one, here’s a link with a few suggestions.  http://divinecreativityinc.wordpress.com/2009/12/16/holiday-gifts-for-your-virtual-assistant/

2009 A year of many changes

This year has been one of many changes.  The company went completely digital and added more mobile capability.  We re-started a twenty-three year old project and have taken it into the 23rd millenium.  We’ve added new people and become more an association of Virtual Assistants around the globe who share their collective intuition and abilities.

We look forwards to 2010 and what we will be able to offer, including an expanded series of postings.

Looking for us:  We’re also on Facebook:

So you’re wondering what else we do?  Well, what we do is to link entrepreneurs together to create new projects and jump-start old ones.  Let us help you add more creative flair to your organisation.  If you’re bogged down by info-overload, let us help by organising it all in a database that takes you into account.  Interested?  Email wgbgroup@gmail.com for more info

Well, It’s been a while, however Book One is almost complete.  All I have to do now is to line up the dominoes in the plot and trim it a little bit.  Once that’s done, I’ll be ready for press and maybe then I can start on the screen play.

The project begun in May 2003.  Completion date:  for book One  May 2010.

The Order of The Rose Angel..

OK. This one may seem far out there, as I have yet to find an order of Knighthood that was exclusively for females.  That said, I wanted to show that women could mentor and educate younger women in the same fashion that a knight might take on a squire etc.  I wanted to blend it with the idea that a woman would share wisdom and link that with the idea of the crusades, discovered treasure and the ideals of a knight such as integrity and honour.

Several of the female characters in the novel are members of the order, however the order is neither protestant or catholic, because I did not want to take sides.    Comments?

Yes, finally bit the bullet and decided to go on-line with the novel. It’s just one of several that I am working on. As for the other projects, stay tuned. I am going to start an experiment soon and we will see where that goes.
